An urgent search is currently underway for a missing non-verbal boy in Georgia. The Clayton County Police Department has called upon the public for help in finding Ramon Jett, commonly known as RJ, according to a news release issued on Sunday.
Jett was last observed in the 8000 block of Webb Road in Riverdale, with the last sighting occurring between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
“Ramon is nonverbal and has a mental health condition. Due to his condition, he might not be able to communicate or seek help, and officers are deeply concerned for his safety. Every minute is critical,” stated the department in the release.
The department has commenced a wide-ranging search operation to find the boy. They are utilizing K-9 teams, drones, patrol officers, detectives, and all available resources.
Meanwhile, the police are urging residents in the area to inspect their properties thoroughly. They recommend checking yards, porches, outbuildings, wooded spaces, and any potential shelters that someone might use.
“If you spot Ramon, do not assume someone else has already called. Immediately contact 911. Your call could be the one that ensures his safe return,” the department advised.
Ramon Jett is described as approximately 3 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing around 40 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he was wearing a light green shirt, camouflage shorts, and white socks.
