Dan Martin from the New York Post reported that teams had access to a custom tab on iPads, allowing them to run unauthorized programs not permitted by MLB. Consequently, MLB decided to disable these features to prevent further misuse.
The timeline and duration of the alleged misconduct by the Mets remain uncertain. This leaves questions about whether the blame lies with former manager Carlos Mendoza or interim manager Andy Green, both of whom may have relied on AI for decision-making.
