QUSRA, West Bank — Jewish settlers have taken over the house owned by Loui Ridi, a 46-year-old man residing in Toledo, Ohio. This property, situated on a rocky hilltop in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, is now besieged by settlers, leaving Ridi with no immediate recourse due to his location far from the conflict.
According to Mo Ridi, a family member speaking to NBC News, settlers have cut off essential supplies such as water and electricity, impacting those trapped inside. Mo conveyed that the decision to seize the house has brought significant distress to the family members who face these hardships.
“They’ve decided to seize the house,” stated Mo Ridi.
The incident unfolded with Israeli settlers being pursued by a military vehicle while moving around Palestinian houses in the village of Qusra, located in the occupied West Bank.
The aggressive actions by settlers in this area add to the ongoing tensions affecting local Palestinian communities who experience disruptions in their daily lives. This situation highlights the broader conflicts observed in the region, where settlers and the military presence continue to be sources of turmoil.
