Sean Ono Lennon Announces Arrival of His Son

Sean Ono Lennon has become a father. The 50-year-old son of John Lennon revealed on Tuesday that he now has a son, marking the first time his renowned father, John Lennon, would have been a grandfather.

Sean shared the news on social media, saying, “Okay so… Charlotte and I would like to announce that we have indeed created a Human Bean! His name is Aurelius! Thank you!” The name Aurelius translates to “golden” in Latin.

Lennon has been in a relationship with Charlotte Kemp Muhl, a 39-year-old model and musician, for almost two decades. Together, they perform in the band Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger.

Sean Lennon is the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, John’s second wife. Yoko, now 93, was with John when he tragically died in December 1980, killed by a former fan on the Upper West Side.

John Lennon had another son, Julian Lennon, aged 63, from his first marriage with Cynthia Lennon. Julian has explained he refrained from having children, citing the experiences from his father’s tumultuous family life. “He was young and didn’t know what the hell he was doing,” Julian explained. “That’s the reason I haven’t had children yet. I didn’t want to do the same thing.”

Sean and Julian were seen together at an event at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood in 2021.

With the arrival of Aurelius, Sean has now given John Lennon his sole known grandson. Sean has shared several photos of Aurelius on Instagram, and Julian also posted images of his half-brother and nephew, accompanied by four heart emojis.
