Mickie James Returns to TNA for Bound for Glory Event

Mickie James, a legendary figure in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), is set to make a special appearance at the Bound for Glory event next weekend. As TNA gears up for its biggest annual show, fans eagerly await her presence.

During Thursday’s episode of “Impact,” TNA presented a teaser featuring an older logo on a crate. Once opened, a strong beam of light emerged. After the light faded, a white cowgirl hat and a denim jacket were revealed. A woman placed the hat on her head, causing excitement among viewers.

The “Hardcore Country” entrance theme played, signaling Mickie James’ involvement. James, well-known in TNA, began her tenure in 2002 when the company was associated with the National Wrestling Alliance. She remained for a year before transitioning to WWE.

James returned to TNA in 2010, initiating a memorable rivalry with Madison Rayne. Triumphing over Rayne, she secured the TNA Knockouts Championship in April 2011. This victory marked her as the first woman ever to hold the TNA Knockouts Championship, WWE Women’s Championship, and WWE Divas Championship. Over her career, James has clinched the Knockouts title five times.

Her most recent stint with TNA spanned from 2021 to 2023. Earlier this year, she faced challenges from the Elegance Brand at the No Surrender event and subsequent “Impact” programs. James’s remarkable contributions to TNA were recognized with her induction into the TNA Hall of Fame last year.

The upcoming Bound for Glory promises more excitement. Scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, numerous matches are lined up. Participants will compete for four championships.

A six-way scramble will determine the new TNA X Division Champion. Participants include Fabian Aichner, KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Ryan Nemeth, and BDE. The Knockouts Championship pits Xia Brookside against Indi Hartwell. Competitors in the TNA International Championship four-way match are Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler, and Special Agent Zero. Lastly, Nic Nemeth will defend the TNA World Championship against Leon Slater.

Additional bouts include Ricky Sosa versus Eddie Edwards and The Hardys taking on Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw in a Falls Count Anywhere match. A Call Your Shot Gauntlet match will also occur, granting the winner a future championship opportunity.

These attractions ensure an engaging weekend for wrestling fans. Ryan Gaydos, a senior editor for Fox News Digital, reported on these developments.
