George Clooney’s Reflections on the Loss of Presley Gerber

George Clooney, renowned actor and friend of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, recently shared his thoughts on the tragic death of Presley Gerber during a conversation with Entertainment Tonight. In the emotional interview, Clooney expressed the profound impact Presley’s passing has had on their families.

“It’s one of the most devastating things that’s happened to our family,” Clooney mentioned, acknowledging the far-reaching grief experienced by Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. He described the situation as “the worst thing that could ever happen to a family.”

Presley Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, tragically passed away on September 20 at the age of 27. Official records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner indicate that he died at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica. Presley had reportedly checked into Resolutions Living on September 19.

Clooney, who has maintained a long-standing friendship with the Gerber family, co-founded Casamigos Tequila with Rande Gerber. Known affectionately as “Uncle George” by the Gerber children, Clooney was deeply affected by Presley’s death.

Following the tragic event, George Clooney and his wife, Amal, were seen arriving at Kaia Gerber’s home in Los Angeles. According to sources quoted by The Daily Mail, Clooney shared a close relationship with Presley, engaging in frequent communications with him.

One source revealed, “George would spend hours talking to Presley. He is the nicest guy in the world and would do anything to help Rande’s family.” Clooney reportedly provided guidance, particularly after Presley’s DUI in 2018, emphasizing the importance of making smart choices and expressing support with messages like “I am here for you.”

Presley Gerber had shared on Instagram months before his death about his plan to undergo a psychedelic treatment, known as “ibogaine flood dose,” at a wellness clinic in Cancún, Mexico. He confessed to feeling “absolutely terrified” by the prospect, but acknowledged a sense of being guided by a greater force.

He stated, “I knew why I was there. I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, I started finding my way back to myself.” Presley expressed hope that this therapeutic experience would be the final one necessary for him.

The entertainment world is not only mourning the loss of talented individuals but also providing support and understanding to families affected by such tragedies.
