Karoline Leavitt, a former White House press secretary, shared insights into her relationship with President Donald Trump during a recent Instagram Q&A session. Leavitt, 29, described Trump as a “kind and uplifting” boss, reflecting on her time as part of his administration.

While answering questions from her Instagram followers during her travels, Leavitt touched on various topics including Trump’s personality, her career plans, and her life as a mother of two. Responding to a query about Trump’s nature, she affirmed, “He’s the best boss.” She noted that many don’t see the positive side of Trump due to media portrayal, but she experienced kindness and humor from him, even after leaving the White House.

“People don’t see this side of him because the media doesn’t show it but he has been nothing but kind and uplifting to me,” she said. “He’s also hilarious. Love him!”

Leavitt was the press secretary from January 2025 until August 2026 and decided to leave the role to spend more time with her children, noting the demanding nature of her White House job, which included over 60-hour work weeks, global travel, and being on call constantly.

Discussing her post-White House plans, Leavitt revealed she will join Fox News as a Contributor starting November 1. She will provide commentary across the network’s shows, having previously taken part in some television appearances. Leavitt’s role was announced by Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media.

Before her White House tenure, Leavitt was involved in various political roles, including as presidential writer, assistant press secretary, and communications director for Rep. Elise Stefanik. She also ran for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District in 2022.

Leavitt offered career advice for aspiring public relations and political professionals, emphasizing the importance of gaining practical experience while in college. She shared her own path, which included internships at NBC Sports Boston and a local news station, leading to opportunities at the White House.

“My advice to people who want to get into politics or comms is to get real world experience when you’re in college,” she said. “You’ll be taught a lot of things in the classroom, but work experience is where you’re really going to learn the game.”

Reflecting on her personal life, Leavitt, now a mother of two, remarked on the scarcity of free time while managing family responsibilities. Despite the challenges, she expressed contentment with her current life stage.
