54 minutes ago 0

Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for the Michigan Senate, addressed recent claims regarding his family’s alleged connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. During a statement, he firmly stated, “I wasn’t raised by my mother,” countering suggestions from past social media posts indicating his mother’s involvement in the Islamist movement during the 1970s.

El-Sayed reiterated his stance against the accusations, which resurfaced due to posts by his half-sister. He labeled these claims as “hearsay,” emphasizing that they do not reflect his personal beliefs or affiliations.

The discussions have become a focal point in El-Sayed’s campaign as he seeks to maintain voter confidence while competing for a Senate seat in Michigan.
