2 hours ago 0

Three Virginia Democrats joined forces in a rally held in Henrico County, Virginia, emphasizing the significant election impact of the war in Iran. The event took place on Monday and highlighted the military and economic effects of the conflict.

Former representative Elaine Luria, former representative Tom Perriello, and Henrico County prosecutor Shannon Taylor were the former representatives in attendance. Pete Buttigieg, former transportation secretary and a potential future presidential candidate, also participated. He encouraged Democrats to aim for a majority in the House, where four additional seats are needed for control.

This war affects more than just gas prices. It sends sailors abroad under an administration that is not honest about casualty figures, said Luria.

Luria is challenging Rep. Jen Kiggans in the 2nd District, centered around Virginia Beach, known for its Navy facilities. Taylor is challenging Rep. Rob Wittman in the 1st District, and Perriello is targeting Rep. John McGuire in the 5th District, partly aiming to bring an end to the war.

Pete Buttigieg energized the crowd, which numbered over 200, to support the Democratic candidates. He underlined the importance of Virginia in achieving the party’s goals, urging, The path to a majority runs through here, and you are crucial to this effort.
