Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models made a notable appearance at Miami Beach’s Swim Week with the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show. The event, held on Saturday night, attracted a diverse group of models, athletes, influencers, and celebrities, all showcasing the latest beachwear trends.
This year’s runway featured both fresh talents and familiar figures. Noteworthy participants included Brooks Nader, Camille Kostek, Alix Earle, Molly Sims, and Katie Austin, who is currently expecting her first child. Alix Earle drew attention with a golden two-piece swimsuit, standing out among the pinups. Additionally, she impressed with a nautical-themed two-piece outfit.
Molly Sims, renowned for her history with SI Swimsuit, stunned in a gingham one-piece with a daring V-neck.
At 53, Sims embraced her maturity and radiance, completing her look with sun-kissed hair and glowing skin. She reminisced on her journey with the magazine, expressing gratitude and self-assurance to her followers on Instagram.
Another prominent name, Brooks Nader, captivated the audience. Nader, who first appeared in the magazine after winning the 2019 open casting call, returned to the runway this year. Her role in the upcoming ‘Baywatch’ reboot being a talking point, she looked striking in a curve-hugging black one-piece.
Katie Austin, daughter of fitness icon Denise Austin, joined the runway while six months into her pregnancy. She adjusted her approach this year, focusing on wellness over fitness routines. Austin highlighted the supportive community of models, noting their positive influence.
The 2026 Swimsuit Issue revealed its cover stars, including Alix Earle, Nicole Williams English, Hilary Duff, and Tiffany Haddish. Other models featured were Nader, Hunter McGrady, Jena Sims, Nina Agdal, and Christen Goff. MJ Day, editor-in-chief of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, emphasized the individuality celebrated within this edition.
Day described the diverse stories and backgrounds of the edition’s cover models, highlighting themes of joy, influence, growth, and reinvention. The issue’s photoshoots took place in various global locations, contributing to its dynamic character.
Since its inception in 1964, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has served as a launchpad for numerous modeling careers. It continues to evolve with inclusivity and creativity, involving a range of models and cultural themes.
The 2026 issue is available on newsstands, and the runway show will stream on Hulu and Disney+ from June 9.
