Brandi Glanville’s Struggles and Triumphs Amid Health Battles

4 days ago 0

Brandi Glanville has faced significant personal and financial challenges recently. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star discussed her struggles and recovery with Fox News Digital. Health issues significantly impacted Glanville’s life, driving her back into the workforce.

I had the leisure of saying no in the past, but then I had all these medical bills, Glanville admitted. She needed to prove to herself that she could start anew, making a comeback both personally and financially.

Financial and Health Challenges

Glanville spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on medical bills while searching for answers to her debilitating health problems. She emptied her 401(k) and saved money to cover these expenses. The financial strain added to the physical toll she faced.

The medical system here is broken, Glanville said. She described regular calls from creditors seeking payment for medical expenses at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Insurance failed to provide meaningful coverage during her struggle, further frustrating her.

Diagnosis and Treatment

In September, Glanville revealed several diagnoses: highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever), Demodex dermatitis, and mononucleosis. Her daily IV treatments expected to cost between $3,300 and $6,000 monthly compounded her financial difficulties.

Past Health Concerns

After visiting Morocco in 2023, Glanville believed she contracted a parasite, experiencing facial paralysis. Initially diagnosed with stress-induced angioedema, the cost of her medical investigations exceeded $70,000.

Endurance and Triumph

Glanville tested her limits on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” One challenge, falling from a helicopter into water, resulted in severe injuries: a perforated eardrum, concussion, bruised sternum, and cracked rib.

The instructor’s last-second advice to keep her head up left her little time to react, intensifying the impact when hitting the water. With travel restrictions, she journeyed by boat to a hospital for treatment.

Outcome and Reflection

Despite the physical toll, Glanville felt proud of her efforts and determination. Doctors warned her against flying, but her resolve led her to leave after recovery regardless.

Honestly, I’m so proud of myself. Glanville expressed satisfaction with her experience, overcoming adversity to test her boundaries.

“Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” airs Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET on FOX.
