Broncos and Seahawks Set for Unique Colorful Jersey Matchup

The upcoming NFL game in Denver features a unique uniform matchup between the Broncos and the Seahawks. Both teams will wear colored jerseys in a rare departure from the usual practice where one team, typically the visiting team, wears white. This Thursday night showdown promises to be a visual treat for fans.

The Denver Broncos will don their popular Orange Crush throwbacks. This marks the sixth time they have worn these retro uniforms since their return in 2024. The Orange Crush has been a fan favorite, and the Broncos boast a 5-0 record in these throwbacks.

Eyioma Uwazurike, Sai’vion Jones, and Malcolm Roach, key players in the Broncos’ lineup, contribute significantly to the team’s performance. Their strong defense often turns games around, as seen recently when they recovered a fumble during a crucial moment at Empower Field.

Meanwhile, the Seattle Seahawks will step onto the field in their royal blue uniforms with a silver helmet. These throwbacks pay homage to the 1990s and were worn during three regular-season games leading up to their latest Super Bowl victory. The Seahawks plan to wear these again in Week 7, but Kansas City will wear white in that game, breaking from the color-versus-color trend.

The league mostly opted for color versus color matchups during the Color Rush era from 2015 to 2018. However, since 2021, Thursday’s Broncos-Seahawks game will be only the fourth to not feature a Color Rush uniform in such a matchup.

Looking back, the previous color-versus-color game occurred in Week 15 of the 2025 season. It had the Falcons in black jerseys versus the Buccaneers in their Creamsicle uniforms, bringing vibrant colors to the field.

Currently, the Broncos have a 3-2 record after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 23-17 in Week 5. The Seahawks, meanwhile, faced a 32-29 loss against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. The upcoming game is set to be an exciting contest, with both teams showcasing historic uniforms brightening the night.
