COVID-19 Vaccine Study Reveals Reduced Risk for Healthy Adults

7 days ago 0

An extensive study revealed that a COVID-19 vaccine significantly decreased the likelihood of emergency department visits and hospitalizations among healthy adults last winter. The findings indicated a reduction of about 50% in these medical visits.

A woman received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in Maryland in 2022. This study, initially paused by the CDC chief due to concerns over methodology, has been released in the JAMA Network Open, a prominent peer-reviewed journal.

The analysis employed the same approach previously questioned by the CDC’s interim director. The concerns had previously halted its publication in the CDC’s weekly scientific report.
