A Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) passenger suffered injuries from flying glass shards after a train window was struck by a bullet. The Chicago police reported the incident occurred on a Sunday morning in Roseland.
The passenger, a 46-year-old man, was traveling on the CTA Red Line close to 95th St. around 8:49 a.m. The train’s window shattered when individuals began firing guns from three vehicles on the Dan Ryan Expressway. The man sustained injuries to his face and body from the glass shards.
Following the incident, he was taken to Trinity Hospital and reported to be in good condition. Police stated the vehicles involved fled the scene. The case is under investigation by Area 2 detectives.
