Violence in Brooklyn, New York
In Brooklyn’s Coney Island neighborhood, a man wearing a mask fired shots during a family barbecue on Saturday night. At least eight people were injured, including four children. Seven victims are expected to recover, but a 21-year-old woman remains in critical condition with a chest wound. The gunman fled, and police are working to identify him.

Florida Shooting Incident
A 19-year-old was fatally shot, and six others were injured in downtown Pensacola early Sunday morning. Pensacola Police Chief Eric Winstrom reported the shooting appeared targeted, and no arrests have been made. Gunfire during holiday celebrations critically injured a 46-year-old woman while she slept in bed. The incident involved a suspect firing weapons with others as fireworks were set off late Friday night. Darius J. Leishman, 24, faces charges of felonious assault and firing into a habitation.
“Celebratory gunfire” is dangerous and illegal. Canton Police Chief John Gabbard emphasizes the dangers involved.

Fireworks Explosion in Chino, California
