The Tony Awards will air live from Radio City Music Hall on June 7. The broadcast will run on both coasts from 8-11 p.m. Eastern or 5-8 p.m. Pacific.

How to Watch

Viewers can tune in via CBS or stream through Paramount+ with a Showtime subscription in the U.S.

A pre-show, hosted by Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess, will stream on Pluto TV from 6:35-8 p.m. Eastern or 3:45-5 p.m. Pacific. Viewers will see the seven best new musical and musical revivals, including “The Lost Boys,” “Schmigadoon!,” “Titanique,” “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York),” “Cats: The Jellicle Ball,” “Ragtime,” and “The Rocky Horror Show.” Additionally, the original cast of “The Book of Mormon” will perform, marking its 15th anniversary.

Award Categories

This year, there are 26 competitive categories covering aspects from acting to design. Some technical categories might be pre-taped, with winners featured in edited segments during the broadcast.

Leading Nominees

“The Lost Boys” and “Schmigadoon!” lead with twelve nominations each. “The Lost Boys” adapts a classic 1987 vampire film, while “Schmigadoon!” is based on a series lampooning Broadway styles. The “Ragtime” revival follows with eleven nods, and “Death of a Salesman” has nine.

Competitors for Top Honors

Contending for best new musical are “The Lost Boys,” “Schmigadoon!,” “Titanique,” and “Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York).” For new plays, the nominees include “The Balusters,” “Giant,” “Liberation,” and “Little Bear Ridge Road.”

Potential Historical Wins

June Squibb, at 96, is the oldest actor ever nominated, and she might become the oldest winner. Nathan Lane seeks a fourth Tony, which would tie him with Boyd Gaines and Frank Langella. In the best leading actress in a musical category, all nominees are first-timers, a first since 2002.
