Hayden Panettiere’s turbulent history with Brian Hickerson has taken a tragic turn. Recently, Greenville police visited a South Carolina residence connected to Brian and his brother, Zach Hickerson. This visit occurred shortly after Hayden Panettiere’s passing, as officers carried out a welfare check despite finding no one home.
According to reports, two police cruisers were observed at 8 a.m. and again at 10 a.m. on the same day. Efforts to contact the Greenville Police Department for comments have been made.
“Hayden Panettiere was discovered lifeless in an apartment in Greenville,” confirmed Kat Ramirez for Fox News Digital.
Brian Hickerson was present at the location when Panettiere was found unresponsive, as per the police report. His role in the narrative emphasizes a difficult final chapter in a relationship previously marred by domestic violence charges and Hickerson’s conviction. Both Brian and Zach Hickerson alerted authorities after discovering Panettiere’s condition, prompting a search warrant execution at the residence.
Reports also indicate that Brian Hickerson entered an address tied to Zach on August 18. The on-and-off relationship between Hickerson and Panettiere began in 2018 when they were introduced by mutual friends following her split with Wladimir Klitschko. Hickerson, with roots in South Carolina, transitioned from real estate to pursue acting, landing a brief role in the 2017 film “M.F.A.”
While the couple briefly separated in 2022, they resumed their relationship the following year. Police confirmed that Hickerson was involved with Panettiere at the time of her death.
Panettiere, known for her role in “Nashville,” navigated a highly publicized legal battle with Hickerson. He first faced domestic violence charges relating to Panettiere in 2019, later leading to his 2020 arrest on multiple felony charges. In 2021, Hickerson accepted a plea deal, admitting no contest to two felony charges, while the remaining counts were dismissed.
In her memoir, Panettiere candidly addressed the impact of the allegations. She expressed hope that sharing her experiences would provide support to others in harmful relationships.
“I am sharing the reality of what happened to me, hoping my story will empower others in abusive relationships to seek the help they need,” Panettiere stated, according to People magazine.
Just days before her untimely death, Hickerson appeared in a Los Angeles court attempting to have his felony charges reduced. However, the prosecution successfully argued against the motion.
