Ilja Dragunov, known for his remarkable achievements in WWE, has officially left the company. His profile was moved to the alumni section, marking the end of a significant era.

Dragunov, a one-time WWE United States Champion, NXT Champion, and NXT UK Champion, was a formidable presence in wrestling. His contract with WWE expired, as reported by PW Insider.

Debuting with WWE in February 2019, Dragunov had previously gained recognition through Progress Wrestling and other European promotions. He quickly became a standout competitor, earning the NXT UK Championship title.

Despite a leg injury in NXT UK, Dragunov reappeared in September 2022, making his mark in NXT. He competed against top-notch athletes like Bron Breakker, JD McDonagh, Wes Lee, and Carmelo Hayes, showcasing his skills without securing a championship during that period.

Notably, Dragunov claimed the NXT Championship from Hayes in September 2023, becoming the first to hold both NXT and NXT UK titles. His tenure in NXT concluded in April 2024, following a championship loss to Trick Williams.

After WrestleMania 40, Dragunov advanced to the Raw brand, but a torn ACL sidelined him for a year. Upon recovery, he entered the WWE United States Championship scene and emerged victorious against Sami Zayn in October 2025, maintaining the title through multiple defenses before Hayes defeated him.

Dragunov’s recent WWE appearances include the Royal Rumble and the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal prior to WrestleMania 42. His departure marks the end of an impactful chapter in his wrestling career.
