Connor Michael Murphy, an influencer known for his ‘looksmaxxing’ content, tragically passed away on July 7 in Thailand, reportedly due to drowning. He was 32 years old.
Friends of the content creator confirmed his death on social media the following day. Reports indicate that police in Samut Prakan province, located approximately 16 miles south of Bangkok, were called to a rental home after receiving reports of a man behaving erratically.
According to Khaosod English, a video was recorded by a staff member at the residential village showing Murphy before he entered a nearby lake. Witnesses stated that Murphy swam for a few minutes and appeared to lose strength. The witnesses did not attempt a rescue due to the lake’s depth, measured at over 10 meters.
“Police stated that an initial examination found no visible signs of assault and sent his body for a post-mortem examination.”
Divers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation found Murphy’s body after about 30 minutes of searching, approximately 20 meters from the shore.
Fox News Digital reached out to the local police for further information. Initial reports suggested no signs of assault, with further investigations and autopsy results pending.
Murphy was staying with his girlfriend, identified only as Bee, at a luxury villa under a three-month rental agreement. The property owner reported that the home, valued at over 22 million baht, was rented for 35,000 baht per month.
Reports mentioned parts of the home were painted black and yellow, including furniture and appliances. Bee mentioned that the damage occurred overnight while she was asleep, adding that she had never observed Murphy using drugs but noted his behavior was unusual.
Murphy, originally from Texas, gained popularity on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram, amassing a following of over 2.7 million users by showcasing his transition from a skinny teenager to a fitness model. He was part of the looksmaxxing community, which focuses on fitness and physical appearance improvements.
His last social media update was on July 3, playing soccer inside a luxury home. The investigation into his death continues.
