Jack Osbourne opened up about raising his five children with his wife, Aree Osbourne, without the help of a nanny. He explained their choice in an interview with People magazine during an Emmy nominees event in Los Angeles, stating, “We don’t do the nanny thing.” Although initially daunting, they have found a manageable rhythm.
Jack and Aree have two daughters together, Maple, age 4, and Ozzy Matilda, 6 months. Jack also has three children from his previous marriage to Lisa Stelly: Pearl, 14, Andy, 11, and Minnie, 8.
Recently, the couple celebrated Maple’s first day of preschool. Jack shared a photo of Maple with her baby sister, calling Ozzy Matilda an “emotional support squad.” Despite growing up in a famous rock music family, Jack takes a different parenting approach. He described his method as more structured than that of his parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. He mentioned not pulling his children out of school just for travel, underlining the importance of maintaining structure.
The youngest daughter, Ozzy Matilda, whom they named in memory of Jack’s late father Ozzy Osbourne, was born in March. Jack fondly remembered sharing the pregnancy news with his father before he passed away, describing the event as both a distraction and a healing process for the grieving family.
Jack’s sister, Kelly Osbourne, also talked about their father’s passing. In an interview with Hello! magazine, she touched on the harsh comments about her appearance during her mourning period. Kelly, who is a mother herself, emphasized the importance of mental health in her healing process.
Jack has been subject to public scrutiny regarding his appearance. Responding to body-shaming comments, Jack addressed criticism over his weight. He clarified misinformation, stating he has maintained a healthy weight since participating in ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ six months ago. Despite shaving his beard, which led to public misconceptions about his health, Jack stood firm, criticizing the press’s persistent commentary on his weight, both past and present.
