The NFL and Roc Nation have not yet made an official announcement regarding the Super Bowl halftime performer for next year. However, predictions suggest that Jay-Z is the leading contender.
Data from two major prediction markets, Kalshi and Polymarket, show a strong inclination toward Jay-Z as the headliner for Super Bowl LXI in February 2027. Jay-Z, the founder of Roc Nation, which has been responsible for selecting and co-producing the Super Bowl halftime show since 2020, is seen as the frontrunner.
At Kalshi, odds indicate that Jay-Z has about a 91% chance of headlining, with Polymarket showing even higher confidence. This is despite Jay-Z never having headlined a Super Bowl halftime show before. He remains a top-selling artist and highly influential figure in the music industry.
While other artists like Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Post Malone, and Dua Lipa have lesser odds of being chosen, Jay-Z stands out prominently among predictions.
Prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket operate similarly to stock markets and prohibit insider trading. Nonetheless, predictions are influenced by reports, such as a recent one from Puck. The report, citing unnamed sources, suggested Jay-Z has chosen himself for the role.
The NFL has yet to confirm any details, but past announcements have followed a similar timeline. For example, Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl LX halftime performer in September 2025, and Kendrick Lamar for Super Bowl LIX in September 2024.
According to Jesse Collins, a co-producer of the event, the ultimate decision rests with Jay-Z. In a 2014 interview, Collins stated, “It’s a decision that Jay makes. Since we’ve been on board with that show, he’s made it every year, and it’s been amazing. He’s always picked right!”
