Teresa Giudice, star of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey,’ claimed that her daughter Milania had fentanyl in her system, according to bodycam footage from an incident at Tampa International Airport, as reported by Page Six.
In the footage, Milania, 20 years old, can be seen responding to the accusation by saying, “Cause I was laced … I go to college,” while her sister Gia criticized her for being “reckless.” The specific details of how the alleged incident with fentanyl occurred remain unclear, including what substance was involved and who may be responsible, according to TMZ.
Milania has appeared in multiple episodes of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ alongside Teresa. At the beginning of the bodycam footage, Milania asked to speak with her mother, only to be told by an officer to sit down. Teresa appeared during the continued filming at the airport, with an officer commenting, “This is never gonna go on a plane,” as they moved to an elevator.
The exact reason why Milania was temporarily detained by authorities at the Florida airport is not specified.
Following the footage release, Teresa Giudice addressed the public on social media, emphasizing the importance of her children’s health and safety. She acknowledged the difficult period her family is experiencing:
“As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety, and well-being of my children,” she wrote. “The past few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I feel it is important to say something while also protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life.”
She explained that Milania is dealing with significant trauma after losing two close friends, and asked for compassion:
“Milania has experienced tremendous heartbreak and significant psychological trauma after losing two of her best friends. Grief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to process that kind of loss is something no parent can ever truly prepare for.”
Teresa highlighted Milania’s need for privacy, emphasizing their focus on surrounding her with love and support:
“My only focus is my daughter – making sure she is surrounded by love, family, support, and the care she needs.”
Teresa also requested that the media respect their family’s privacy as they navigate this situation:
“At this time, we respectfully ask the media and the public to give Milania and our entire family the privacy and space we need as we navigate this together.”
Milania is one of Teresa and her ex-husband Joe Giudice’s four daughters, alongside Gia, Gabriella, and Audriana. Milania previously pleaded not guilty to assault charges in New Jersey related to an arrest earlier in the year. The Tampa police department and representatives for Teresa Giudice have been contacted for comment by Fox News Digital.
