The New Orleans Saints have been busy transforming their wide receiver lineup during the offseason. They selected Jordyan Tyson with the eighth overall pick in the April draft. Additionally, the team picked Bryce Lance in the fourth round and Barion Brown in the sixth round. Alongside their draft picks, New Orleans signed undrafted free agent Brock Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner.
However, the Saints encountered a setback at the start of training camp. The NFL announced on Thursday that Rechsteiner faces a six-game suspension for the 2026 season. The specific reason for the suspension remains undisclosed.
Rechsteiner, 23, had a productive time at Jacksonville State. Over 23 games, he caught 53 passes for 629 yards and scored seven touchdowns. Despite the suspension, Rechsteiner can still participate in practice and play in preseason games. His suspension becomes effective when the Saints reduce their roster to 53 players on August 30.
Rechsteiner’s family has a history in both the NFL and professional wrestling. His cousin, Bronson Rechsteiner, also known as Bron Breakker in WWE, briefly joined the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Although he didn’t stay long in the NFL, Brock is open about his aspirations to join professional wrestling, following in the footsteps of his cousin and relatives. The Steiner Brothers, including his uncle Rick Steiner, were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022.
