5 hours ago 0

President Donald Trump announced the establishment of a federal Super Intelligence Force (SIF), aimed at ensuring the United States maintains its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence.

In a Truth Social post, Trump detailed that the new force will engage with various stakeholders, including consumers, public-interest and religious groups, infrastructure providers, and technology companies.

Trump emphasized that the technology is more transformative than previous innovations like the Industrial Revolution and the Internet. This initiative will focus on protecting American interests and enhancing the lives of citizens.

“The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence,” Trump stated.

The SIF will be overseen by senior administration officials, reporting directly to Trump and his chief of staff, Susie Wiles.

Following a summit with tech leaders, Trump renamed artificial intelligence to Super Intelligence within the executive branch. He announced that the executives had signed a document called the White House Accord on Super Intelligence.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, commented the summit was a positive development, highlighting commitments by leading American labs to implement thorough internal controls and audits.

This initiative represents a significant step in the U.S. strategy to guide the development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies.
