The Los Angeles Rams faced a narrow defeat against the Arizona Cardinals with a score of 18-16 during their Week 6 matchup on Sunday. This loss places the Rams alongside the Cardinals at the bottom of the NFC West standings, both holding a 2-4 record. The Rams are determined to recover from this setback.
In response to the outcome against the Cardinals, the Rams have recruited a seasoned kicker to their roster. As per ESPN’s Ian Rapoport, the team has secured the services of kicker Brandon McManus, following his workout for the Rams on Tuesday.
Bringing on McManus adds a kicker with substantial NFL experience. At 35 years old, he aims to showcase his skills after receiving this fresh opportunity with the Rams.
Over 12 NFL seasons with the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Green Bay Packers, McManus has successfully converted 297 out of 362 field goal attempts. This equates to an 82% success rate for career field goals. Notably, he achieved an impressive 95.2% field goal percentage in 11 games for the Packers during the 2024 season.
The performance of McManus with the Rams is now under watchful eyes, as he begins his new tenure with the team.
