Search for Noah’s Ark Advances with Completion of 3D Model

1 hour ago 0

A dedicated team searching the Durupınar Formation in Turkey for the remains of Noah’s Ark has announced the completion of phase one of their investigation. The group, known as Noah’s Ark Scans, is part of an international collaboration involving archaeologists, geologists, and soil scientists. They aim to determine whether the formation contains remnants of the biblical vessel.

Last month, the team initiated drilling operations and have since extracted samples currently under examination for traces of wood. This endeavor seeks to challenge previous studies suggesting the formation is entirely a natural rock structure.

“A 3D scale model of the Ark as it currently rests has been completed,”

the team announced, sharing visuals of the model. They collaborated with Field Tech to construct this model using data from ground-penetrating radar collected at the site.

This announcement comes as the group prepares to embark on phase two of the operation. Andrew Jones, the founder of Noah’s Ark Scans, explained in an interview with Newsweek that this phase will focus on geophysical survey technologies not utilized previously and will explore areas that didn’t undergo core drilling.

Jones further noted that following the analysis of phase one soil samples, the team might adapt their phase two plans to include more comprehensive geological and geophysical studies, depending on the findings. He projected that tests and final reports from the current phase would be completed around April or May of the coming year.

This search for Noah’s Ark remains ongoing, with more developments expected in the future.
