Selma Blair’s alleged troubles extended beyond her arrest at a New York airport following an incident on a Delta flight. She also faces accusations of kicking a nurse at a Queens hospital shortly after. According to a criminal court affidavit filed in Queens, Blair allegedly kicked nurse Ashley DeLeo in the chest while being transported for further evaluation at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

The document states that the incident caused significant pain to DeLeo’s chest. Blair later appeared in Queens Criminal Court, responding ‘yes, sir’ to Judge Indira Kahn during her arraignment on two counts of second-degree assault.

Police were called to John F. Kennedy International Airport due to reports of a ‘physically abusive passenger’ after Delta Flight 938 from Los Angeles landed. Blair, known for roles in ‘Cruel Intentions’ and ‘Hellboy,’ was taken into custody and then to a hospital for evaluation. Two flight attendants reported injuries from the incident.

Police Officer Maria Suarez was also allegedly assaulted by Blair during the transfer from JFK to a hospital. The affidavit states Blair removed her leg from stretcher straps and kicked Suarez in the face, neck, and chest, resulting in swelling and substantial pain. Suarez received treatment at a local hospital.

Delta Airlines made a statement highlighting their zero tolerance for unruly or illegal behavior, emphasizing customer and crew safety.

Blair’s representative explained that she experienced a medical emergency on the flight. Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention. Her attorney clarified that the incident was not intentional, citing missed doses of medication for severe neurological symptoms.

Blair had been working long hours and reportedly fell and hit her head during the flight. Her attorney explained these factors, combined with high altitude, led to confusion and disorientation.

Blair, diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, has been vocal about her condition. She was released on bond and is scheduled to return to court in January. Judge Indira Kahn noted that Blair could pose a risk.
