Gov. Rhoden, initially stepping into his role following Kristi Noem’s elevation by former President Trump, finds himself trailing by 5 percentage points. This deficit highlights challenges for the current governor in Tuesday’s election. Notably, President Trump has not expressed any opinion on this race in the strongly Republican state.
