Hubbs noted her exposure to the low-carb lifestyle through the Atkins diet in the 1970s. This approach helped her manage weight problems after childbirth.

Discussions from experts like oncologists, cardiologists, and internal medicine physicians cover topics such as diets’ impact on cancer, heart health, and overcoming food addiction. Michelle Hall, another Arizona resident and Low Carb Cruise committee member, shared her lifetime struggle with diets. After losing nearly 100 pounds post gastric lap band surgery, Hall regained weight upon removing the band. In June 2020, fear driven by COVID-19 led her to fully embrace the keto diet, strengthening her health commitment.
