Travis Kelce Balances Wedding Planning with Chiefs’ Offseason

3 weeks ago 0

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is approaching a significant personal milestone as he prepares to marry popular singer Taylor Swift. The wedding is scheduled for July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event is expected to cost around $20 million.

Amidst the excitement surrounding the wedding, questions arose about how the planning might impact Kelce’s performance during the Chiefs’ Organized Team Activities (OTAs) and mandatory minicamp. Head coach Andy Reid addressed these concerns at a recent press conference.

“Can’t talk about it,” Reid joked, noting that guests have signed non-disclosure agreements regarding the wedding.

Reid confirmed Kelce’s presence throughout most of the offseason, observing that his commitment remained unaffected by the wedding plans. Kelce participated actively in the mandatory camp, where he performed well and appeared focused and enthusiastic.

Reid light-heartedly remarked that during his own wedding, he followed his wife’s lead, suggesting that Kelce might be doing the same.

Kelce attended all parts of OTAs and minicamp. The couple strategically scheduled their wedding weeks before the start of training camp in late July, ensuring minimal conflict with the Chiefs’ offseason schedule.

Reports indicate that Kelce and Swift will delay their honeymoon. They plan a multi-week overseas trip later in the year, visiting destinations such as Asia, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Italy, and Paris.
