Trump stated, “Montana will help ensure the American military always reigns supreme.” The announcement occurred at the Majestic Valley Arena in Kalispell, supporting Republican Aaron Flint in Montana’s 1st Congressional District. Trump used the rally to campaign for Flint, highlighting upcoming midterm elections.

Trump Defends Gun Rights

Trump strongly defended the Second Amendment during his speech. He warned about potential consequences if Democrats restricted gun ownership. “If the Democrat communists win, they will take away your guns,” Trump proclaimed, adding humor about wild animals thriving in such a scenario.

The president reassured voters that their gun rights would remain protected under his administration. He highlighted favorable National Rifle Association ratings for Republican candidates Flint and Kurt Alme, contrasting them with Democratic candidates who received lower assessments.

Tariffs and Economic Policies

Trump addressed economic issues, particularly his tariff policies. He argued that tariffs foster wealth rather than inflation. “Tariffs don’t cause inflation. They cause wealth,” he asserted.

He linked tariff benefits to protecting American sawmills, claiming, “Every sawmill would be out of business” without them. His remarks coincided with an inflation report indicating a 3.7 percent rise from the previous year, contradicting his inflation claims.

Additionally, Trump appealed to farmers and ranchers by touting favorable tax policies. He emphasized changes to estate taxes, making it easier for families to transfer farms and ranches to their descendants.
