In Rhode Island, a federal judge has instructed the administration to resume processing immigration applications for individuals from countries previously under a ban. This follows the shooting of two National Guard troops last year.
On Thursday, the judge criticized the Trump administration for not promptly adhering to his directive from the prior week. This order requires lifting a broad suspension on asylum decisions and restarting immigration processing, which had been halted indefinitely for numerous countries.
