Unidentified Woman in Trump’s Social Media Post Sparks Curiosity

1 week ago 0

President Donald Trump left internet users confused on Saturday night by sharing an image of an unidentified woman. The caption read, “Great daughter. My Honor!!!” without providing further details. The woman in the image is not one of the president’s daughters. Newsweek reached out to the White House on Sunday seeking clarification.

Who Is the Woman in the Photo?

The photo shows a blonde woman smiling at the camera while holding an older-style landline phone to her ear. A visual analysis by Newsweek indicates the woman might be at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland, where Trump was scheduled to be that weekend. The red sofa she sits on, along with other furniture and plants, matches descriptions of Camp David’s interior during President George W. Bush’s time in office. The state seal of Arkansas on the sofa suggests a connection to President Bill Clinton’s time, aligning with his role as governor before becoming president.

Journalist Aaron Rupar posted a screenshot of Trump’s puzzling post on X and asked, “Who is this?” Mikey Smith, a Mirror US journalist, speculated on X that she might be Margo Catsimatidis. He proposed the photo was taken at Camp David, possibly during the Clinton Administration.

Who Is Margo Catsimatidis?

Margo Catsimatidis, as per catsimatidis.com, is a businesswoman and philanthropist. Born in Indiana, she moved to New York City in 1971 to pursue ballet. She was notably the youngest to be invited to dance with the Bolshoi Ballet, but an injury led her to explore other careers.

In 1973, she started working with Red Apple Supermarkets and later married John Catsimatidis. Together, they expanded their business interests into a major conglomerate, the Red Apple Group. Margo founded MCV Advertising Associates in 1984, which became a leading retail print advertising agency in New York.

Catsimatidis is recognized for her charitable work. She and her husband founded the Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund in 1989, providing over $2 million in scholarships to Greek American students. As co-publishers of the Hellenic Times, they influence Greek American media significantly. Her contributions have earned her recognition from various organizations, such as the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and other civic groups.

Connections to GOP Activism

The Truth Social post leaves questions about Trump’s reference to a “great daughter.” Margo Catsimatidis’ daughter, Andrea, is active in GOP circles and has engagements with Trump. Social media posts by Andrea, not shown here, indicate her support for Trump.

Newsweek sought comments from Margo and Andrea Catsimatidis on Sunday via online platforms. The post’s comments section shows ongoing speculation about the woman’s identity, but no definitive answers have emerged.
