Senator Ted Cruz has accused Vice President JD Vance of insecurity after Vance suggested Cruz is already preparing for a 2028 presidential run. Cruz responded to Vance’s remarks made in an NBC News interview, calling them an indication of insecurity. Cruz expressed his intention to concentrate on the upcoming midterm elections, emphasizing his commitment to aiding Republicans in securing victories in the next 30 days.
Vance, during his discussion with NBC News, pointed out that he believes Cruz is already setting his sights on the presidency. Vance clarified that his current priority is electing Republican candidates and maintaining his focus on the midterms.
Cruz, a previous presidential candidate in 2016, mentioned in an August interview with MS NOW that he is open to discussing a possible 2028 bid.
