Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson faces the possibility of missing his second consecutive game due to an ankle injury. Although the Ravens have not made an official decision about the two-time NFL MVP’s status, the outlook is not favorable as the team prepares for their Week 6 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Jackson did not participate in Thursday’s practice. Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic noted that it seems likely the 29-year-old will not play on Sunday. Currently, the Ravens lead the AFC North with a 4-1 record, closely followed by the Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers, each at 3-2.
The game against Cleveland will be the first of two consecutive AFC North matchups for Baltimore, with the following game against the Bengals at home. The only defeat for Jackson and the Ravens this season occurred in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints, who currently hold a 1-4 record.
Jackson, a product of Louisville and a four-time Pro Bowler, has faced injury challenges in recent seasons, missing five games in both the 2021 and 2022 seasons, along with four last year. This season, Jackson boasts a league-leading 119.6 passer rating across his four appearances. His statistics include a 68-for-96 passing record, accumulating 967 passing yards, six touchdowns, and one interception. Additionally, Jackson has recorded 19 rushes for 144 yards and one rushing touchdown.
Ravens backup quarterback Tyler Huntley is well-known to fans. Huntley spent his initial four NFL seasons in Baltimore before starting five games for the Miami Dolphins in 2024. He returned to the Ravens in August 2025. The 28-year-old undrafted quarterback’s career stats include a 67.1% completion rate, 3,476 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 32 regular season games, with 17 starts. In Week 5, Huntley led the Ravens to an overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons on “Sunday Night Football” with a performance of 24-for-32, 201 passing yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
