Jake Worthington, a well-known figure in country music, announced a break from his career. The 30-year-old, who gained fame on ‘The Voice’ in 2014, took to social media to inform his fans about his decision.
On Instagram, Worthington shared, “I live a life as my heroes did, but that life gotten ahold of me. I love my family, my friends and my fans too much to let it take over me. I need to take some time to work on myself for my wife and daughter.”
He assured his audience, “I promise I will come back even better. God bless country music.” His move was supported by fellow artists.

Fellow singer Dierks Bentley added, “La you bro!” One fan remarked on Worthington’s post, “Your voice is forever. Do what you have to in order to sustain longevity. For yourself and your family. All of us will be here when you’re ready.”
Worthington joins other musicians, like Chase Rice, who have also decided to step back from the spotlight. Earlier this year, Rice declared his intention to pause touring after 13 years in the industry. He explained his exhaustion on Instagram, stating, “After 13 years it’s finally beat me up to the point where I need to step away for a while.”
Rice emphasized the need to find more personal experiences to fuel his songwriting, highlighting the toll that constant touring has taken on him.
He shared, “I haven’t been able to be myself on stage in quite a while.” Rice stressed that the break wasn’t goodbye but rather a necessary pause to rejuvenate and gather new life experiences.
