Artificial intelligence assistants, including popular platforms like ChatGPT, are engaging billions of users worldwide. Despite this widespread adoption, data on the actual usage of these tools remains limited and disjointed.
This gap in knowledge prompted researchers to establish the AI Observatory. This public resource aims to provide a clearer understanding of AI usage by examining anonymized chat interactions from seven diverse sources.
The AI Observatory’s recent findings indicate that around half of the conversations with chatbots are unrelated to work. This insight sheds light on the varied ways humans interact with AI, highlighting both professional and personal applications.
