Authorities in Chicago are investigating a homicide after discovering the body of a 59-year-old man in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. The man was found with cuts and facial trauma early Thursday morning on West 76th Street, near the 300 block, police reported. His identity has not been disclosed.
Emergency services transported the victim to UChicago Medicine, but he was pronounced dead. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death. Wentworth Area detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
No suspects have been taken into custody at this time, according to the police.
