Chief Andrew Caggiano stated that Milania faced a charge of Simple Assault, explaining that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite the charge, Milania is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Milania pleaded not guilty, and her court hearing was rescheduled for December 1. Despite the legal troubles, Teresa made claims regarding Milania’s exposure to fentanyl during an incident at Tampa International Airport, captured in bodycam footage.
