Frank Siller, the Chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, introduces his new memoir, Let Us Do Good. The book pays tribute to his brother, Stephen Siller, a firefighter who lost his life in the 9/11 attacks. Frank recounts Stephen’s courageous actions, including his run through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, and discusses the foundation’s mission to aid injured veterans and families of first responders. Let Us Do Good chronicles the family’s experiences and the impact of their work.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is marking the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a unique initiative. A steel beam from the South Tower is being transported 10,500 miles across America as part of a remembrance tour. This steel beam serves as a moving memorial, visiting more than 20 states. Events include appearances by local officials, first responders, and foundation members.

Frank Siller expressed the tour’s purpose: “This campaign ensures that every generation remembers and comprehends the events of 25 years ago.” The 16,900-pound, 21-foot steel beam acts as a tribute to those who perished and the heroes of 9/11.

The Steel Across America tour began in Lower Manhattan on May 2 and will travel to locations like California, Arizona, Washington, D.C., and Texas, concluding at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The beam will be displayed at museums, community centers, sporting events, and even the White House, before its return to Ground Zero.

One of the tour stops was Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida. It was here that President George W. Bush was informed of the attacks on September 11, 2001. Andy Card, the former White House chief of staff, was present during the truck’s visit in May.

Tunnel to Towers, founded to remember Stephen Siller, not only memorializes the 343 FDNY firefighters who perished but also supports families of fallen servicemembers by providing mortgage-free homes. The foundation is addressing veteran homelessness by delivering 343 homes this year.

The initiative affirms that such sacrifices are remembered nationwide, ensuring stories of bravery and service remain timeless.
