Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang foresees artificial intelligence transforming the workforce similarly to the Industrial Revolution, creating new jobs and reshaping work dynamics. On ‘The Will Cain Show,’ Huang encouraged young individuals to embrace AI, considering it a tool that enhances skills across various fields.
Huang highlighted the rising demand for skilled labor, including electricians, welders, and construction workers, due to the fast-paced development of AI infrastructure such as chip manufacturing units, computer plants, and data centers nationwide. ‘We’ve generated around half a million jobs,’ Huang stated. He anticipates a further increase.
Earlier, Huang conducted a tour for Fox News host Will Cain at a manufacturing site in Sherman, Texas, collaborating with Coherent, a software company. Nvidia infused $2 billion into Coherent’s laser and optics production crucial for advanced technologies. Coherent CEO Jim Anderson projected a fourfold production increase in the next 12 to 18 months.

Contrary to earlier technological holdings, Huang underscored AI’s unique accessibility, enabling individuals with minimal technical know-how to operate complex systems via natural language. ‘If uncertain about employing AI, simply instruct the AI: I don’t know how to use AI,’ Huang remarked.
Huang perceives AI as a supplement to skill enhancement, not a replacement. He encouraged learners and young workers to pursue interests concurrently with AI integration. ‘Explore culinary arts alongside AI. Engage in philosophy with AI assistance,’ he suggested.
Comparing AI’s impact to calculators, Huang asserted that technological tools redefine how tasks are conducted without diminishing the necessity for skilled workers. ‘Calculations like algebra and calculus are now automated,’ he elaborated.

Despite AI’s transformative role, Huang maintained that work’s essence remains, offering a potential surge in U.S. productivity, economic strengthening, and amplified energy demands as AI systems advance. ‘It’s going to be mainly optimistic and wonderful,’ he concluded, while emphasizing caution for specific AI applications, particularly concerning national security.
Following AI concerns, the Trump administration banned Anthropic’s Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models, fearing cyber threats after discoveries by Amazon AI professionals. Huang opined about AI’s prolonged influence, refuting any finish-line notion regarding the technology: ‘AI is indefinite.’
Still, Huang advocated for U.S. leadership in technology innovation, asserting, ‘We should absolutely lead.’ Levi D’Amato is a digital production assistant with Fox News Digital.
