Primm Resorts Partner with Terrible’s to Avoid Closure

3 weeks ago 0

The Primm family in Nevada has secured a partnership with Las Vegas-based Terrible’s to prevent the closure of its resorts. The collaboration aims to rejuvenate the once-bustling Primm area.

Cory Clemetson, President of the Primm South Real Estate Company, expressed his satisfaction with finding a like-minded partner to manage the Primm properties. Tim Herbst, President of Terrible’s, emphasized the commitment to preserving Primm’s legacy while fostering growth and tourism. The closure of the Primm Valley Resort & Casino would have resulted in 344 job losses, which the partnership aims to avoid.

Affinity Interactive, previously responsible for the casinos, announced plans to close due to financial challenges. These issues included ongoing financial losses and ineffective investments, according to CEO Scott Butera.

Clemetson reflected on the impact of closure on dedicated employees and shared fond memories of the resort’s past. He noted the expectations of developing the Southern Nevada Supplemental Airport near Primm to boost future prospects.

The Herbst family’s experience in various sectors aligns with plans for enhancements, including renovations and improved amenities. Clemetson remains optimistic about preserving his grandfather’s legacy and rejuvenating the Primm region.
