Tennessee Titans Face Challenges Amid Win and Roster Changes

1 hour ago 0

The Tennessee Titans experienced a rare moment of optimism in Week 6 of the NFL season. They secured a 26-20 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, marking their first win of the season. Despite this success, the team faced significant developments soon after.

On Tuesday, the Titans announced the release of defensive tackle Jordan Elliott. The team cited an unspecified incident at their facility as the reason for this decision.

“On Thursday, Oct. 15, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott. Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter,” the Titans stated.

Elliott, who previously played under head coach Robert Saleh when he was with the San Francisco 49ers, participated in five games this season for the Titans. During these games, he recorded 11 tackles.

Additionally, defensive back Alontae Taylor did not participate in the recent game for reasons described as a “coach’s decision.” Taylor had played nearly every defensive snap in the first five games and had signed a lucrative contract with the team in March.

The Titans are preparing to face the AFC North-leading Cleveland Browns at Nissan Stadium this week.
