Texas Rangers Opt for Faith & Family Night Over Pride Night

1 week ago 0

The Texas Rangers stand out as the only Major League Baseball team that does not host a Pride Night. Instead, the Rangers favor a Faith & Family Night, which aligns with previous traditions at the ballpark.

This year’s Faith & Family Night took place on a Thursday. Attendees reported that nearly a quarter of the Rangers roster participated, sharing their experiences with their faith. Fans appreciated the postgame activities, describing the event as “fantastic”. Players such as Brandon Nimmo, Cody Bradford, Jalen Beeks, Jacob Latz, Evan Carter, Cody Freeman, Josh Jung, and Wyatt Langford were among those present. Although Nathan Eovaldi was scheduled to attend, he was unavailable.

In response to criticism for not organizing a Pride Night, the Rangers issued a statement in 2024. The statement underscored the team’s longstanding commitment to inclusivity, aiming to make everyone feel welcome at Rangers baseball games and related events. The team emphasized its various programs designed to positively impact the community.

The Texas Rangers continue to prioritize their choice without engaging in broader cultural debates.
