Two Teenagers Injured in Chicago Apartment Shooting

Two teenage boys suffered injuries in a shooting when an attacker fired several shots into an apartment near the Auburn Park lagoon on the city’s South Side. This incident happened in the late afternoon, as reported by the Chicago police.

The shooter, still unidentified, discharged a firearm from the hallway into an apartment located in the 400 block of West Winneconna Parkway shortly after 4 p.m., according to police statements.

An 18-year-old man was hit in the neck, clavicle, and back. Emergency responders transported him to UChicago Medicine, where he remains in critical condition. A 13-year-old, injured in both calves, was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital; he is in good condition.

Investigators from the Calumet Area are currently looking into the incident. No further details have been released as the inquiry continues.
