Unusual Heat and Drought Conditions in Europe

Europe has been facing unprecedented heat and drought recently. According to the European Space Programme, these conditions have been more pronounced than in most other regions.

A record late-spring heat dome indicated the beginning of extreme weather patterns. Since then, heat domes have persistently affected the continent.

The continuous high temperatures have transformed previously lush landscapes into dusty brown areas. Additionally, they have caused water levels in major European rivers to reach record lows.

The Seine, Rhine, and Danube rivers have been especially impacted by these events.
