Samantha Busch, widow of NASCAR champion Kyle Busch, expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans following her husband’s death. Using Instagram, she and her children Brexton and Lennix shared their appreciation on Friday.
The prayers, messages, flowers, meals, hugs, and countless acts of kindness have carried us through the most heartbreaking days of our lives. While our hearts are absolutely shattered, we have felt God’s presence and arms wrapped tightly around us through each and every one of you.
Kyle Busch passed away on May 21 due to complications from severe pneumonia and sepsis. This sudden tragedy left the NASCAR community in sorrow. Before his condition worsened, Busch had participated in races, including the Truck Series race he won at Dover. He also spent time with his son Brexton at a go-kart track opening.
In their message, Samantha Busch acknowledged the ‘love that has surrounded our family’ during their mourning. She noted how the gestures of support have eased their pain, highlighting Kyle’s positive impact on others. These acts of kindness, she said, reflect his special nature.
The love that has surrounded our family during this unimaginable time has brought comfort in the middle of so much pain, she wrote. Knowing the impact Kyle had on others and seeing how they are honoring him through each unique act of generosity is a true testament to how special Kyle is to so many people. There are moments when the weight of this loss feels impossible to carry, yet time and time again God, through you all, has shown us we are not alone.
She extended thanks to everyone for their continued support, emphasizing how deeply the family appreciates such kindness during their grief.
Kyle Busch was a renowned driver, known for winning the Cup Series championships in 2015 and 2019 with Joe Gibbs Racing. He was the younger brother of NASCAR driver Kurt Busch and achieved 234 combined race victories in NASCAR’s top series, including 63 Cup, 102 O’Reilly Auto Parts, and 69 Trucks victories.
