Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy White has expressed support for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the race for the U.S. Senate. White praised Paxton’s straightforward approach.
Ken Paxton will get in there and get things done. He’s not afraid, White stated in an interview with OutKick.
White’s endorsement stems from their shared efforts on children’s issues and the opioid crisis. White has worked closely with Paxton on the National Child Identification Program, a project that helps parents safeguard their children’s identifying information.
Personal tragedy also motivates White’s advocacy. He lost his son-in-law to an accidental opioid overdose. In response, he partnered with Paxton in an initiative focused on drug awareness.
White criticized Democratic candidate James Talarico, stating mistrust in his policies, particularly on transgender participation in sports. Talarico opposes blanket restrictions and favors case-by-case evaluations.
The race between Paxton and Talarico is close, with a Fox News Poll showing Talarico ahead by a narrow margin. Paxton secured his place on the ballot by defeating Sen. John Cornyn in a GOP primary.
White’s endorsement also included strong support for former President Donald Trump. He praised Trump’s economic policies and handling of international conflict, specifically the war with Iran.
