In a news conference focused on security for the event, Mamdani stressed his duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all New Yorkers and attendees, irrespective of his presence. The Israel Day Parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. in Manhattan, and Mamdani emphasized that security would be robust.
Jessica Tisch, a supporter of Israel, expressed her enthusiasm for the parade. She described it as one of the year’s most cheerful occasions.
