Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania strongly criticized Maine Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner, labeling him a “creeper” and “Nazi sympathizer” following recent controversies. Fetterman shared his frustrations with reporters in Washington, D.C. after reports emerged over the weekend that Platner sent explicit messages to at least six women. Platner is married and allegedly maintained an active profile on Kik, a chatting platform known for its poor identification standards.
Fetterman, speaking to CNN, questioned the character of someone spending a decade on a platform like Kik, sending numerous explicit messages. He referred to Platner’s past Reddit username, “P-Hustle,” associated with controversial comments minimizing sexual assault and making inappropriate claims about a wounded soldier.
The Pennsylvania senator also brought up Platner’s past scandal involving a concealed tattoo that resembled a Nazi symbol, uncovered for 18 years. Fetterman challenged those defending Platner, suggesting a Nazi tattoo is indicative of being a Nazi sympathizer.
Despite his strong criticism, Fetterman stopped short of endorsing Platner’s likely Republican opponent, Senator Susan Collins of Maine, stating, “we’ll all have to work together” if Platner wins the general election.
Fox News Digital sought a comment from Platner’s campaign. Throughout the day, Fetterman also criticized fellow Democrats for excusing or defending Platner amid growing scandals. He compared the situation to past controversies, expressing reluctance to support individuals involved in similar situations.
